Notes about the medicinal herbs in the truffles shells:

Dandelion is a classic cleansing plant for what may be the most important detox organ of the body - the liver. Milk Thistle and Goldenseal are also a well known duo for liver cleansing. Schizandra Berry, also known as the "five flavor berry," is associated with all five elemental energies described in Traditional Chinese Medicine. This superior tonic herb has many benefits - including beautification of the skin, alertness and vigor, and outstanding blood and liver purification. Aloe Vera is one of the finest superfoods for promoting digestive wellness on many levels - fighting bad bacterias and yeast, reducing inflammation, dissolving mucous and building a healthy digestive tract.

 

Notes about the collection:

As a culture, our workload, stress level, and diet are often much heavier during the winter months - which is difficult because (unless you can't wait to hit the slopes or are able to hit the beaches) all you want to do is curl up under your comforter and sleep if you live in a cold region. Many of us promise New Years Resolutions, only to feel guilty in the Springtime. Now that the Equinox has passed, this is the perfect time for Cleaning - of our lives, homes, and especially of our bodies and minds. This is what inspired me to add detoxifying herbs to the Truffle Collection.

*PLEASE NOTE* If you live in a hot climate, we can only guarantee the truffles will arrive not melted if you choose Express Shipping upon check out. Please ensure someone is present at your shipping address to receive the chocolate as soon as it arrives (so it does not sit in your PO Box or on your doorstep in the hot sun). If this is not possible, you could ship to a friend (if you trust them not to devour your order! :) or an office address. Of course let us know if it does happen to melt - we care about your happiness and are always looking to improve!
