Come to Camu

Camu camu. Few berries boast such a great name!

Camu camu is a bush native to the rainforests of South America. It produces a berry containing more vitamin C than any other known botanical source. And it has other compounds that aid in the absorption of vitamin C, such as anthocyanins and bioflavonoids. The berry is also an excellent source of calcium, phosphorus, potassium, iron, and three amino acids.

Amazonian peoples pick the camu camu berries in season, dry them, and use them medicinally all year. They have discovered that this superfood supports the immune system, maintains good eyesight, wards off viral infections, supports strong tendons and ligaments, decreases inflammation, improves respiration, and aids mental clarity.

It’s in Pomegranate Acai, Lemon Berry Rose, and SuperChoc, and it’s available in bulk!

Test out your bulk camu camuby adding it to any smoothie for a sweet tartness, or any other raw recipe.

Here's an unusual one:

Cool Sweet Quinoa

(Thanks to food.lifeisround.com)

2 tablespoons of hemp oil/coconut oil

1 tablespoon of agave nectar

1/4 teaspoon of maca powder

1/2 teaspoon of camu-camu powder

A small sprinkle of ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon of soaked goji berries

To the cool quinoa add the oil & agave nectar and mix well. Then add the maca, camu-camu and cinnamon and mix again. Finally, on top place the goji berries and enjoy.
